It may be necessary to withdraw from people, places, and situations that drag you into a carnal mindset. More than mere hedonism, the carnal mindset also includes depression, despair, and perhaps even a desire to die that can open you up to suicidal thoughts and spirits, if you're not careful. Romans 8:6 is accurate when it says the carnal mind is death.
Fortunately, someone DOES care. And He is real. If you're reading this, it's not too late. Christ will replace your deadly, dead-end carnal mindset with joy. Yes, joy. Happiness is a side-effect; joy exists regardless of any outward circumstances or stimuli. Nehemiah 8:10 says, "the joy of the LORD is your strength."
It's true. There's little to nothing that's much weaker than the carnal mindset. It is entirely co-dependent on situations and circumstances. If those circumstances change, or fail, despair can easily set in.
Avoid this trap, and embrace a spiritual mindset before it's too late.
