Message Notes:
Anxiety has become the number one mental health issue in North America. It’s estimated that one third of the North American adult population experiences anxiety unwellness issues.
41% of employees from a range of industries reported high levels of anxiety in the workplace.
More than half of college students sought help for their anxiety issues.
65% of North American’s take prescription medications daily, 43% take mood altering prescriptions regularly.
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
Rest from fatigue, don’t get arrested by it
Rest by Deliverance
Anxiety comes from demands of service (Jesus had power leave Him Mark 5:30), demise of sin (Samson had power leave him Judges 16:20), and devise of satan (1 Sam.16:14; Isaiah 61:3; 2 Timothy 1:7).
Demon possession levels in Catholicism:
a. Haunting, this refers to non-human demonic activity
b. Torment, the individual is harassed by a demon that has targeted the person
c. Obsession is constant evil thoughts, impulses of self destruction or unrelenting depression are characteristics of this stated. Possession to the Catholic Church this is officially stated to be “rare” an uncommon occurrence
Rest by Yoke and Burden
There is rest you get by coming to Jesus and there is rest you get only by growing in Jesus. Jesus gives vs you find.
It’s not much activity but lack of productivity that brings stress. (Bored - busy - blessed)
Yoke - covenant (unequally yoked) is easy. Get rid of wrong mindset! Kingdom is FEAST, not funeral.
Burden - living with intention, making room for interruptions, trusting in God for impact. Care of life is not the same as burden.
It’s not about prioritizing your schedule but scheduling your priorities.
Rest from priorities. Fatigue from schedule.
It’s either burden from the Lord or bondage from Devil. Deception is I can avoid both. Burden is not more busyness on schedule but more fire in your soul. Without burden, everything I do burdens me.
Rest from Learning
To grow is to learn. To learn is to grow]

Power and potential is regulated by knowledge
We learn from:
1. Mistakes (teach lesson after)
2. Mentors (teach lesson before)
3. Master- prayer is breakfast of champions
- don’t fight people, cast out demons
- group of men is more important than crusade
- don’t respond to critics (lions don’t lose sleep; people look at you through microscope, at themselves telescope; don’t stop; its a gym)
- meekness is not weakness
Men never make truths. They only recognize the value of this currency of God.
