The coronavirus has everyone in China staying indoors.
With that said gaming in China is at an all-time high.
Specifically, this virus has me playing Diablo 3. I ran into some issues and had to learn a few things to make my gameplay worthwhile. This has led me to make today's video on "How to play Diablo 3 in China."
First, it is important to know that Blizzard's Battle.net blocks VPNs. You might make it through but you will have some serious latency issues.
Also, Blizzard has a server location in China or Diablo 3 gameplay. However, you will need a China social security number to create an account.
Fortunately, you can access the other three server locations on Battle.net without a VPN. This led me to my next discovery. I play mostly in hardcore mode on Diablo 3 Reaper o Souls. In hardcore mode, if your hero dies they don't come back and you lose all the gear they had with them.
What is the Best Server in China for Diablo 3
While playing on Americas server from China I was disconnected from the server many times while in battle. After reconnecting I would come back to see my hero in the chamber of fallen heroes.
After changing my server location to Asia the disconnects and deaths that followed ceased and where no longer an issue. This brings me to the conclusion that the best server for Diablo 3 in China is Asia.
How to Fix Diablo 3 Lag / How to Fix Diablo 3 Latency Issues
This was a huge deal for me. I love playing games but if you keep dying in battle due to lagging, the gaming experience just loses all o its fun and glory.
Go into game menu video options and make the following changes:
Texture Quality - Low
Shadow Quality - Low
Physics Quality - Low
Clutter Density - Low
Anti-Aliasing - Disable
Low FX - Check
SSAO - Check
Vertical Sync - Check
