How to Be Heard By God in Prayer [2020]

Asking God in prayer by putting on humility for that prayer does not work. He will not hear your prayer! Humility is a thing to put on for your life, not to wrangle a reaction out of God to your prayer. Our instincts are right that we must humble ourselves in order for God to hear our prayers, but humility has a goal, which is righteousness or an equitable nature. The prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective. So if you want your prayers to be answered you must be righteous, which is not a process. You either are or you are not. And if you are, then you can be stronger in righteousness, but you cannot be both righteous and unrighteous in any mixture. Humble yourself, start a life of humility with the goal of righteousness. Then your prayers will be answered and will be powerful. Elijah was the example mentioned in Jacob 5 (aka James 5). God is not a fool! He sees right through that temporary, situational humility. He will not listen to your prayers like that.
