Man is the eye of things. -Euryph, "de Vit. Hum."

Chaeronea: a village in Boeotia, Greece. A number of battles have been fought there over the centuries, but the one where Demosthenes fought was in 338 BC, which was the final battle in Philip II of Macedon's campaign to gain hegemony over Greece. (Of interest, Alexander would command some of Philip's troops in this battle.)
