Edit for headphones, May 2022. Source of the edit is the song on the deluxe remastered two cd edition of the 1968 album "Picturesque Matchstickable Messages From The Status Quo" (bonus song number 14 on cd one). I couldn't find a version of acceptable sound quality, maybe there isn't and was that the reason to add it as a bonus song; therefore I rejected it at first, some weeks ago, but, as Didi sort of 'longed' for it, well, here it is. The song has some 'strange' parts, but also some real nice sounding typical Quo ones...
"Make Me Stay A Bit Longer" is a so called non-album single - though it ís on this double album - released in February 1969, but it failed to chart in the thirteen countries mentioned in Wikipedia. I blame it on the 78 seconds that it takes before the true heart of the song starts... that intro is way too long... a professional producer would have noticed that.
