The Magog are named after the Biblical Gog Magog, a form of the Antichrist, or the final war at Armageddon.
The Magog are created by the Spirit of the Abyss, which is directly lifted from the Kabbalah, as well Apollyon / Abbadon the king of the Abyss in the Revelation. Magog are the Locusts / Beast ascending from the Abyss.
The Abyss in the Kaballah is the 11th Sephiroth, the Sphere of Daat or Data. Daat or Daath means Knowledge. The Abyss itself is a rift separating the 7 lower Sephiroth from the Godhead. The Kabalistic Tree of Life is also a depiction of the Solar System with the Sun at the center as Tiphereth, also called the Christ Center.
In Kabalistic Lore, Malkuth, or planet Earth, the material world, used to be where the Abyss is now, and certain Sephiroth overlapped each other forming Primus, the 6 six sided star. Yesod and Tiphereth overlapped, as did Hod and Geburah, Chesod and Netzach. The tare was likely caused by the Deluge in Immanuel Velikovsky's work. The Deluge ended the golden age of Saturn, and reconfigured the solar system. The God of the Bible may have much to do with the formation of planet Venus.
Since the Kabbalah is an 11 fold system, 10 Sephiroth plus the Abyss, it is fitting I am uploading this in 11 volumes, each containing 10 episodes.
Season 5 takes place in the Sephra system, which sounds a lot like Sephira, the title of an individual Sephiroth on the Tree of Life. The Sephra system is 9 planets and 1 sun, so it also matches the Kabbalah.
