8.2 Legacy (Backmasking the AntiChrist)
Backmasking the AntiChrist
Backmasking Memphis May Fire's song Legacy
Uncover Legacy's Surprising Hidden Message.
I had to slow it way down in reverse,
I hear a lot of people who report about Backmasking will say if you play anything backwards that you are going to be able to pull out things easily and that backwards messaging can be tailored to who is listening and steer what message you want to pick out. And that is all a bunch of garbage. Pick a random song and listen to it in reverse, your not going to hear anything coherent much less a sentence that has any meaning. If backwards messaging where so abundant and accidental, how come their is only a finite number of bands and songs that you can find and they are all well known.
Stumbling on this song by happenstance 'Legacy' and the entire song using all the lyrics in reverse is a streamlined message that is so consistent it's actually incredible. Their is nothing that comes anywhere close in an example. Led Zeppelin has a couple short sentences. Which is regarded as the pinnacle Backmasking example. The full song Legacy I didn't even get 100% of the song in reverse in two movies. That's how much is their. And it's the song writers testimony to finding Jesus Christ. It's nothing short but moving and amazing, and I don't think this could be done if one dedicated their life to do it. I believe it's absolute proof of the holy spirit. Even though the genre isnt the kind of song sung in pews, I think it shows God isn't as rigid as we sometimes believe. It shows God's love for his children. I think music is really about what's your intention not so much what it sounds like. God's deeper than that. And he made us all off individual with unique flavours.
Also if you analyze Legacy's lyrics it has subtle Christian tones in it's word choice. So I firmly believe that at the singer or song writer lives God, whether the surface of his music shows it or not.
At least at the time the song and album was written.
I have seen one of their newer videos that to me screams backsliden. That is really disappointing to me. But maybe that has to do with his contract and the video artist, I dunno.
I don't have time to dig into their personal lives. Regardless, it seemed like I was supposed to find that hidden message, because it really helped me cause I was in a bad place at the time I discovered it. I didn't even know Yesu is the same as Jesus when I was first listening to it. I discovered that afterward.
The very first sentence, chances to move mountains, is a biblical reference to scripture.
Stop blending in, biblical reference, Christians are supposed to stand out.
Lift up your eyes, biblical reference, your redemption is at hand.
It's actually incredible how biblically well put together it is. Forwards and backwards.
I spent a lot of time picking this song apart and it's just keeps surprising.
If I made a song half as good I would be happy calling it my legacy.
