the rolling stones - paint it black (entire take with cold end) - stereo remix Ib
Edit 1b for headphones. This ABKCOVEVO video has this song in mono on their YouTube channel, it was about time that it was replaced by a stereo version of the song. Here is the ABKCOVEVO YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@ABKCOVEVO/videos
Released on the US album "Aftermath" in July, 1966 and on November 4, 1966 on the UK version of the album "Big Hits (High Tide And Green Grass)"; the US version of this album does not have "Paint It, Black".
Recorded March 6 - 9, 1966. Released as a US & UK single in April/May, 1966, went to #1 on both charts. It also charted #1 in Canada and Holland; #2 in Austria, Ireland, Norway, Sweden and Germany; #3 in Belgium and Finland; #4 in Spain, the country that had to wait another nine years before they got rid of their dictator Francisco Franco, who ruled over Spain for 36 years... now that was a black period in time... wonder what the Spanish thought of the color red...
This is an edit of this song's music on disc two of the bootleg album "Aftermath Isolated Trax".

PAINT IT, BLACK
(Jagger/Richards)
I see a red door and I want it painted black
no colors anymore I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes
I see a line of cars and they're all painted black
with flowers and my love both never to come back
I see people turn their heads and quickly look away
like a new born baby it just happens ev'ry day
I look inside myself and see my heart is black
I see my red door and it has been painted black
maybe then I'll fade away and not have to face the facts
it's not easy facin' up when your whole world is black
no more will my green sea go turn a deeper blue
I could not foresee this thing happening to you
if I look hard enough into the settin' sun
my love will laugh with me before the mornin' comes
I see a red door and I want it painted black
no colors anymore I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes
mmm, mmm, mmm...
I wanna see it painted, painted black
black as night, black as coal
I wanna see the sun, blotted out from the sky
I wanna see it painted, painted, painted, painted black
yeah!
mmm, mmm, mmm...
