1946 Bedford M Type Commercial Truck .Part 8. A Road Test!

I had previously had the original carb apart and despite it's badly deformed body I got it into a good enough condition to make sure the engine was good.... but a new carb was needed. Well, I came across a new old stock Zenith 30 VIG 6 ... the Bedford being fitted with the 30 VIG 5 ... The carbs are almost the same with one major difference.... how they connect to the throttle linkage and the choke setup.... The 5 has an arm which mounts to a shaft cast into the main body.... the 6 does not... not even the casting for it's placement... So I rolled a smoke, made a brew and came up with a plan..... and it worked.... So here I take the old girl out to test the carb and the brakes.....
