Dion and the Belmonts: 'I Wonder Why' (Pre Unreleased Ext. Ver.)[Aug 30, 2022]

This mix of I Wonder Why is not a my mix, or any fan's edit; rather an unreleased extended version of the original release

The Youtube Channel Beaglemaster3 uploaded this extended mix of I Wonder Why, however that channel extended the mix further by themselves, looping part of the song over.

They extended this track from 2:35 to 4:07. What I did was cut off what Beaglemaster3 added, thus leaving us with the unaltered extended version of I Wonder Why.

The length of this recording, as previously stated before Beaglemaster's edit, is 2:36 which is longer than the original studio release of the track (which is about 2:19 seconds).

What's interesting about this version is it is clearly not extended by merely looping sections of the original studio release.

The vocal bridge at 0:55 is distinct from any part of the original recording. My assumption is the original song (the version released on albums and played on the radio) is a stripped down version of this longer track.

Another point of interest, is how the audio quality is superior in this mix to most other versions released (including the original studio version).

I fit this mix with the performance at Saturday Night Beech-Nut Show [May 24, 1958] Since this mix is longer than the original studio version (which is the version they are lip syncing to during the performance), I did have to alter the video a bit in order for it to sync up properly with the audio.
