WUS 2nd phase: amerlafrance Vs schwarz (Succession Wars)
In this video I review 11th game of amerlafrance's 10 game run. amerlafrance's 5th game ended by boot, therefore amerlafrance needed a replacement game, hence why 11th game was created. In this game he faces schwarz, top 5 1v1 ladder player. amerlafrance's goal is to win 40% of his games in 2nd phase, which is required for him in order to move to 3rd phase.
Template name: Succession Wars
Notable settings:
1. Modified bonus structure
2. 7 starting picks in territories which do not belong to bonuses
3. 1 income for every 5 territories
4. Local deployments
Main criticism:
1. Best way to take down 3 army neutral is to tap it with 1 army and then attack it with 3 armies.
2. Best way to perform on local deployments is to get all the picks close by. A pack of united bonuses perform much better than separated bonuses.
3. Always count how many territories you have and how many territories opponent should have if income is given for territory amount. If you see that you’re close to getting to next income level or opponent is close to losing his income level, try to work on getting more territories or taking territories away from your opponent.
4. Always try to find ways to meaningfully ways to take territories each turn if valuable cards (like reinforcement, bomb or sanctions for example) are enabled. Don’t expand just for the sake of taking card pieces if there are alternative realistic ways to get card pieces.
5. Don’t use outdelaying strategies if you do not have anything to gain from it or if opponent has more delay moves than you do. If you really need to delay, you could make some 1 army deploys with intent to turn them into 1 army transfers. Always check history to know how many moves you need to outdelay your opponent.

About Warzone Ultimate Series:
These series are mostly centered on playing 20 player 1v1 round robins tournaments. Players, who do very well in these tournaments, get invited to extra challenge games and if they do well, they get promoted to higher tier. There are 7 different tiers planned, but all of them would function similarly to other tiers, main difference being different tournament settings and different strengths of players.
