According to its own statements, North Korea allegedly tested a hydrogen bomb (short H-bomb) on September 3, 2017. Similar to an atomic bomb, radioactive plutonium or uranium is used in an H-bomb. However, the explosive power of a hydrogen bomb is much higher than a conventional atomic bomb.
H-bombs are also considered dangerous, because they can be built so small to fit on a warhead of an intercontinental missile. However, scientists doubt that the country has the necessary know-how to build such bombs.
