Figure Note:
Stop-Motion Transformation of TFC Toys’ ST-01A Supreme Tactical Commander (Jungle Version) Not too complicated. It has a few clever bits. Not my cup of tea, but a very solid figure. Apparently this is an homage to G.I.Joe mobile battle fortress “Rolling Thunder”. It comes with some little Joes to man the guns. They are essentially Titan Masters headmasters.

Production Note: I had to figure out how to suspend objects in mid-air with minimal clean-up work later. I came up with a gizmo to help and it worked well enough, but the tip needs rethinking. It has a magnetic tip (based on one of those extending antenna magnetic picker-uppers I got at the hardware store) and it should really have some sort of small but strong rubberized grabber. Tried to putty the item to the antenna tip but it couldn’t cope well. I showed the gizmo off on my livestream last week. Near the end. How do you like that intro and outro sequence? It’s these effects: 60% Opacity, “Find Lines”, “Invert”, and “Black and White”. You see, the “Find Lines” effect turns the background white and the lines black. By doing Invert, it makes the background black and the lines white and then we go Black and White to eliminate the last vestiges of color. Fun effect. Let me know if you like it.
Viewing Note:
If you want to follow along, I recommend skipping to the speed run and using the Chrome plugin called "Frame by Frame for YouTube". It turns your , and . keyboard keys into single-frame movement keys. Every step of the transformation is documented in the frames of the video, in what I consider to be the best sequence. With minimal ..
