Today, I'll be taking a look at a surprisingly good game based on a controversial arc from a controversial anime, Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet! My review of the DLC is already on YouTube, but I'll post it here soon enough.
Remarks from the Future: Those who have seen my review of this game's DLC, which came exactly a year after this one, may have thought I really don't like the game. That couldn't be further from the truth. I was hyped for this game, and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was, especially compared to the only other game of the series I had played beforehand, Re:Hollow Fragment. In the moments when I was warming up and trying to get back into it for the DLC review, I remembered how fun it was. Yeah, I had issues with the AI here, but it was fairly competent when I shut off that one "Clapping" emote that the ArFA-Sys had. The graphics were solid, the gameplay was fun, the only problems really were the lackluster story, and lacking multiplayer (which has since improved a bit). I stand by the score I gave it in the review proper, but I'm willing to give it an extra point for fans of the franchise.
