Porque na verdade o atual dia internacional da mulher tem uma motivação totalmente diferente dessa. No início da primeira grande guerra mundial, no dia 8 de março de 1914, houve uma grande manifestação de mulheres contra a guerra. Mulheres protestando pela paz, contra a guerra. Aconteceu em vários países da europa e nos estados unidos. Lógico, não era um "dia das mulheres" foi apenas uma manifestação contra a guerra. Mas uma manifestação importante. Parece que as mulheres, mais que os homens, tinham ciencia da tragédia que seriam as guerras que se seguiriam. Apesar disso, nada mudou. Vieram as duas grandes guerras e o dia das mulheres meio que deixou de ser comemorado.
