A little history: Neither Germany nor Kaiser Wilhelm II were the villains of the War, contrary to propaganda to the contrary. The Kaiser was a rather tragic figure, both King George V and Tsar Nicholas II were his cousins and felt personally betrayed that they allied against him. He was very pious, adored his grandmother, Queen Victoria, and very much believed in nationalism and the Divine Right of Kings.

After he was deposed at the end of WWI, he lived out the rest of his life in exile in the Netherlands, despising all the governments that came to power in Germany thereafter.
