The brass fuel inlet you need for the Harley Keihin Carb is Fuel Inlet Fitting Harley Sportster XL1976-06 CV carbs that Replaces OEM part# 27371-76A. You don't want to keep that plastic fuel inlet on the carb because eventually you will have a leak, as I found out the dangerous way. Gas will puddle up on the engine and i you have a backfire you will have a serious fire. The odds are this won't happen, but it can happen with a backfire on a cold start. It's easy to change out the stock plastic fuel inlet fitting on the stock Harley Keihin Carb. the Keihin Carburetor is actually a very good carburetor with the right tuning and jetting. You don't need any special tools to remove the stock brass insert from the Keihin carb. Some people are selling a special tool for this job at $35. You don't need a special tool and I show how to pull out the old brass insert and press in a new all brass fuel inlet. I used a 6mm x 1.0 tap and tapped into the old brass fitting about 6 threads. You do want to remove the float and needle valve before you do this and clean out all the debris with carb cleaner from the tapping process. Then take a 10mm 1/4 inch drive long socket, and thread on a 6mm bolt with a couple o washers through the socket into the tapped fitting. You need a bolt that is just a little longer than the 10 mm 1/4 drive long socket, so you don't go too deep into the old brass fitting. As you tighten the bolt the old brass fitting will e pulled out. Then clean up the passageway and start in the new brass fitting. Make sure the new brass fitting is pointing in the right direction for the fuel line. Use a large C-clamp and a block of wood on the other side of the carburetor., between the C-clamp and the carburetor, so you don't damage the carburetor. Tighten the C-clamp until the new brass Fuel Inlet Fitting is fully seated. You just permanently fixed your leaky carburetor fuel inlet fitting. You should have no carburetor leaks from that fitting now and that brass fitting won't crack like the junk OEM plastic fuel fitting.
