The government is preparing to allow the entry of foreign armed contingents into Moldova — Deputy Vadim Fotescu.
The Cabinet of Ministers proposes to amend the Law "On the State Border" and the Law "On the procedure for the use of Physical Force, special means and firearms".
The text of the law is supplemented with the words "representatives of foreign and international specialized agencies" and "participation in joint operations provided for by international treaties to which the Republic of Moldova is a party".
According to Fotescu, these amendments "allow an armed contingent of foreign specialists to enter Moldova with their weapons, which contradicts the principle of neutrality enshrined in the Constitution."
The ruling majority voted against the proposal to remove the projects from the Parliament's agenda.
