Liberty Conspiracy Timeless Knowledge Nugget: The Moral Hazard of The State

The term "Moral Hazard" is associated with political-economics and pertains to government "investment" or indemnification leading people to engage in riskier behavior than they usually would if they were operating within a free market. But the ceaseless growth of the state, and its ever-more apparent thuggery (often hidden behind euphemisms such as "regulation" and "licensing", but always supported by the thuggery of the government firearm and jail) hint at the wisdom of applying the term "moral hazard" to the state itself, and to see that accepting or not questioning the unsound and immoral premise of the state leads to a moral hazard of assuming that the state can take care of people, or "protect" people.

The moral hazard of the state is that it inspires people to let their own awareness of their own rights atrophy, and to be blind to the growing threat of armed agents of the state answering to a central-fiat-currency-fueled authoritarian system.
