With everything going on, with the Black Lives Matter Movement ( BLM ) I tend to forget that its okay to talk about my heritage for more then just the one February in the year. So as a way to both talk about anime and black culture without going the to protest and risk getting " the thing that shall not be named since youtube is being dumb about it." I thought its time to talk about Canary from Hunter x Hunter and why her appearance in the show even if small gives so much awesome nods to black culture in anime and beyond.
