Saturday evening in Calgary saw a large and enthusiastic crowd of near 1500 people attend a Calgary Town Hall to introduce the #Wexit movement.

Wexit as a movement name has much in common with the British Brexit as an aspiring Separatist party intent on the Independance of Western Canada, particularly Albert and Saskatchewan.

The talk of Separation has been around as long as I can remember, but perhaps never with such solid support. The intent is to force a better deal from the current outdated Canadian Political system by pushing Independence as a legitimate threat of real consequences.

This is just the beginning of what may be the most meaningful debates in recent Canadian history and we have to wonder, are we seeing the death of a nation, or the birth of perhaps 10 new nations.
