Australia - Canberra Freedom Rally
Video showing small just a few of the people who travelled from all over Australia to be there, with their children. Some for many days. e.g. Among others from West Australia who didn't join it, there was a 40 mile convoy. (For US peeps. Aus is about the same size as US, so that's like Seattle to DC, about 2800 miles).
I was there, you can probably see me wearing a brown Akubra.
Despite media reports to the contrary, there was no violence - it was like going to a family picnic. The cops played ball and had no interaction with the crowd - they was almost friendly.
The video is of a moving procession which went on for hours so those people at the bottom of the image which is the back of the procession would have made their way to the front where Parliament house is then back down the side towards Old Parliament House.
When we got to Parliament House there was a recorded message from behind a barrier protected by a row of armed police telling us we, (Australians), couldn't be there. So, our country's Parliament House was, essentially, telling us to piss off because we wasn't welcome.
The guesstimate is between 2-3 million people. I lost count at 1.75 mill. Either way, that's about 10% of Australia's entire population
Aus. media reported 10,000 people with violence.
