Are So-Called Satellites Really in "Space?"

Regardless of our opinions about the shape of our Earth, it appears that we've been lied to about "satellites." Why are there no actual photographs of satellites in space???

This is (what I know it as through my former job) THE SOC Submarine Optical Cable or Southern Cross or SNOC Southern Network Optical Cable. One of many being constantly monitored/repaired/expanded (24/7 ship cover). Personally I know of 3, potentially more now (govt(s) have their own "dark fibres" coming out from New Zealand alone and one that goes from Antarctica (Ross Shelf/Scott base) to Norway (long way I know). I personally know they have 3 forms of backup connection should something go out or fail in Antarctica.
