1998 KTEH Key The Metal Idol Broadcast Ep.5

Back in the late 1990s KTEH, a PBS affiliate from San Jose,CA started to air anime as part of their Sunday Night Science Fiction block, The channel aired animes such as Robotech,Tenchi Muyo,Key The Metal Idol,Urusei Yatsura. Serial Experiments Lain and others. This went on until early 2003 when it was done away with. What was interesting was that like other PBS affiliates, they would have pledge drives in order to ask their viewers for money, sort of like what Patreon is doing. Not many people have an idea that there was a Public Television channel that aired anime at one time. The anime in question is called Key the metal Idol, A anime about a robot girl in her quest to get make 30,000 friends so she can become human.
