This consecration was undertaken in response to the urgent requirement for a Traditional Catholic Bishop to serve the faithfuls in Ireland and neighboring countries, who were facing persecution. Moreover, this appointment ensures the continuation of the authentic Catholic priesthood line, tracing back to Archbishop Lefebvre and the Catholic Church Fathers who ardently cherish the Sacred Tradition of the Church.
