I think the United States and Israel are making a major geopolitical mistake. Israel should simply declare their borders and enforce them regardless of Palestinian demands. However undesirable the outcome of a 2 state solution may be given to the Palestinians with unilateral decision making on the part of Israel, it will at least finally place a line on encroachment of still existing Palestinian lands.

I fear that the United States may be viewed very dimly within history as a result of unflinching support of Israel, and all the wars the US has engaged in within the last 20 years. We've lost our moral authority which we once had, but 40 years ago.
