Geminids Meteor Showers Peak Wed. Dec 13th, 2017 at 9pm

They say the Geminids Meteor Showers may be the most massive of them all, with the peak around 9pm onward, Wednesday Dec 13, 2017. There could be 80-120 meteors an hour. Look up to the left of Orion to find the area, in the East and SE as the night goes on.

These meteors may have originated from the 'rock comet', 3200 Phaethon, an 'asteroid' about 3 miles wide, and it will make it's closest approach to Earth (about '6 million miles') on Saturday Dec 16th, around 6pm eastern time.
