John 6 (Part Two)
God is Able to Multiply to Meet Your Need and then Still Leave You Extra
——————————————
“After these things Jesus went over the sea of Galilee, which is the sea of Tiberias. And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on them that were diseased. And Jesus went up into a mountain, and there he sat with his disciples. And the passover, a feast of the Jews, was nigh. When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?”
John 6:1-5 KJV

John 6:26 KJV
Jews Require a Sign

John 6:30 KJV
“For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:”
1 Corinthians 1:22 KJV
“But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.”
1 Corinthians 1:23-24 KJV
Believe and Then Receive
————————————
“They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?”
John 6:30 KJV
“The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.”

They Downplayed Jesus’s Miracle By Citing Moses
——————
“Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.”
John 6:31 KJV
“And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.”
Deuteronomy 8:3 KJV
“Thou gavest also thy good spirit to instruct them, and withheldest not thy manna from their mouth, and gavest them water for their thirst.”
Nehemiah 9:20 KJV
The Purpose of Living the Word of God
——————————————————
“Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.”
John 6:32-33 KJV
“And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.”
