The TWO MEN worked on STUDIO MUSIC that FUSED INDIA and THE WEST as HARRISON MEDITATED with SHANKAR and found INNER PEACE.The ORIGINAL TRACK was RECORDED with STRING ORCHESTRA, TABLA, SARANGI [INDIAN TRADITIONAL CELLO] and TAMBURA [INDIAN STRING DRONE INSTRUMENT]. ORCHESTRAL VIOLINISTS recall being LOCKED UP in ABBY ROAD STUDIO for 14 HOURS on DOUBLE TIME as HARRISON could not get 'THE RIGHT SOUND' from the CONCERT STRINGS. He wanted a SOUND like the SLIDING almost 'HUMAN VOICE' of the INDIAN SARANGI, but on WESTERN VIOLINS. The ARTISTICALLY 'IMPRISONED' ORCHESTRA RE-RECORDED all the night before 'THE RIGHT SOUND' was GOT! Musicians,eh! K ; )
