Restoring Adrenal Health With Adaptabili-Tea
This adaptogenic tea provides many of the main nutrients required for rebuilding the adrenals and maintaining optimal adrenal health. Stevia is used in this recipe as a sweetener because it is best to avoid sugar to help rebuild these very important glands.
Maca root has been found to be effective for adrenal fatigue. Individuals with adrenal fatigue often rely on the use of stimulants to give them energy, but this does more damage in the long run. When used consistently, maca has the power to nourish and stimulate the hypothalamus and pituitary glands, bringing balance back to the adrenals.
Gynostemma supports overall health and has a strong anti-fatigue effect. It is used as a virtual "cure-all" in China, where the people who collect it, grow it, and consume it call it "Magical Grass." The benefits of gynostemma lie in its extraordinary adaptogenic qualities. It is double-directional in its effects (e.g., it can bring the immune response up or down depending on what the body requires for homeostasis), so it has the ability to bring balance to the body under a wide range of stressful circumstances.
Research conducted by the Chinese Academy of Sciences has consistently indicated that gynostemma may be the most powerful of all the Chinese herbs, perhaps due to its extraordinary array of over 120 healing saponin compounds.
He Shou Wu is unsurpassed in its ability to provide deep, primordial energy (jing) to the body via the Kidney meridian system. He Shou Wu - also known as Ho Shou Wu or Fo-Ti-is a longevity and yin essence replenishing herb. It cleanses the body, especially the kidney and liver. It shares the position as the primary essence tonic of Chinese herbalism with Lycium fruit, also known as goji berry.
