An Australian man furious by the Victorian Government agreement with Beijing's controversial Belt and Road initiative has decided to fight back.
Morgan Jonas from Melbourne has teamed up with Hong Kong-born Australian Fiona Hui and organised a rally to "stop the sale of Victoria" to Chinese government interests.
Mr Jonas says he organised the demonstration because "inviting oppressive regimes, such as China, into our backyard will erode our civil liberties, just like they've done in Hong Kong."
The protest is planned for Sunday, 22 March 2020 at noon outside the Parliament House of Victoria.
