The show also evoked protests from hundreds of viewers and the leaders of several Jewish and "civil-liberties" organizations. After a meeting with Jewish leaders in Chicago organized by the CEO of Harpo Inc, Oprah vowed never again to broadcast a show on devil worship. She agreed to reach out to B’nai B’rith, which fights anti-Semitism and racism, whenever her show focused on those subjects, and she promised to exercise better "judgment" in selecting her guests.
