Prof Danie Vermeulen - UFS Land Debate 2018

Prof Danie Vermeulen is the Dean of the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences at the University of the Free State.
Prof Vermeulen has honours, masters, and doctorate degrees in Geohydrology at the University of the Free State. He has extensive experience as a mining geologist, a farmer in the North-eastern Cape, and drilling and mining.
He was also the Director of the Institute for Groundwater Studies at the University of the Free State from 2011 to 2016.

Boer Republic had the opportunity to attend a panel discussion on the issue of land expropriation held on the campus of the University of the Free State, Bloemfontein.
We also had the opportunity to interview a few of the panelists and speakers regarding their positions on the issue of Land Expropriation, and Land Transformation.
The panel and discussions were divided into three categories: Land Reform and Human Rights, Land Reform and Organised Culture
Agriculture, and Land reform and Food Security.
The panel discussion took place on the 12th of July 2018, and was part of the Volksblad Arts Festival, held annually on the campus of the University of the Free State.
