Definitely my favorite historian in the Civil War documentary.
Some have critique Ken Burns over using Shelby because ''they'' said he was romancing the war.
To me he's able to paint a picture of what happened in the war. War is awful and he doesn't shy away from it but he does talk about how the soldiers (on both sides) lived and died during that war.
I have a playlist of the series look for it. This video will be part of it.
