A stray bullet from a shootout went through a home and killed a teenager while she was asleep in her bed.Family members of Jessica Daniels told Channel 2. they have been comforting each other all day. Three people were in the house when bullets went through it.

Several residents told Channel 2's Kristen Holloway that they woke to gunfire at Eastwyck Village Apartments on Candler Road.

"All of sudden, I see a flash and I hear the shots, and it sounded like a fully automatic weapon. Soon as I heard the shots, I hit the ground," one neighbor said.
