He and his first wife Barbara Heinez were married forty years and had five children. Two daughters and three sons.
In 1984 an age 64 William Colby pronounced to his wife Barbara he wanted a divorce. He immediately married career State Department status Sally Shelton, age 39. Their marriage lasted twelve years up to the date of his murder.
William Colby was murdered in his kitchen of his Rock Point cabin at around 8:30pm. He was interrupted halfway through his meal of steamed clams and corn.
His fiberglass green color canoe was discovered on a beach at the dead-end of Rock Point Road, a kilometer away by a local man the next day. The canoe was full of sand and gravel to prevent it from drifting away. Navy Seals and the local sheriff search for the next four straight. No sign of Bill Colby for another nine days.
On May 6, 1996 the pristine corpse of William Colby was discovered fifty feet from the spot where his canoe was found. Apparently his body was kept in storage for nine days.
Colby was personally involved in the 'muscle end of the business' aka: murder, mass murder, political assassination, pacification & control PSYOPS. Specifically, Gladio, C.O.R.D.S., Phoenix, Watergate clean-up, Senator Frank Chruch Committee inquiries, testified 57 times before Congress as the Director of CIA.

Most surprisingly, William Colby's son Carl testified at both the Preliminary Hearing and at the OJ Simpson murder trial on February 3, 1995.
