"We have no say in who is running for office. We say its the greatest democracy in the world because I get to go to a polling station in November and no one tells me how to vote.
Except they already have because I didn't have any say in who I'm even voting for.
I don't like any of them, I don't want any of them. None of them represent me. All of them were picked by special interests yet somehow America is a 'democratic nation' because I get to decide which special interest representative I get to pick for office?
Somehow America is a democratic nation because I get to select from a hand picked list??
Unless the American people are in control of the process of selection (of politicians), the process of election is meaningless.
We have to select our leaders before we can elect our leaders, and we don't get to do that because its all about the money."
