Break up with the smart phone.

I didn't upload the screenshot of the email. At 8:29 I left a message about the military.
Right after sending the audio, I was sent an email from (United Service Organizations) USO Match Alert about an "exclusive opportunity for top military supporters."
That was fast.
This has happened many times in the past. Once, I was reading a book to my child and the name "Cleopatra" came up. I haven't mentioned that name for over a decade.
That evening, I received an email about Cleopatra.
Not a coincidence. The smart phone was listening even when I wasn't using it (it's always listening).
This is beyond disturbing. I've been hanging on to the device to communicate with peers via messaging apps like TG and Signal.
But that needs to end. I'm done with this phone. I'll be relying on my landline and dumb phone. I'm giving myself one week to download all of my photos and to wrap up communications. What I really need is a good camera for documenting (that's what this phone has been good for)!
I'll be getting back to the land as much as possible. Garden, food, water, home defense....all of the things we'll need as shit continues to unfurl around the world. Get active in your community. That's the only place you can really make a difference.
