The incident occurred in Tennessee back in August, and resulted in a more than two hour police standoff. The man who was wounded, 24-year-old Kyle W Spitze, survived and escaped, whereas the gunman, 68-year-old Jeffrey Scott West, barricaded himself inside the Friendsville home before encountering SWAT teams and Crisis Negotiations. Negotiations ensued, but West - seen in the footage waving the firearm - refused to surrender. Cops eventually sent in a K-9, and found the senior dead from a self-inflicted gunshot. The new footage is filmed from Spitze's perspective, and shows him taking the bullet to the ear before frantically fleeing, and waiting for officers outside.
