Extended mag releases on defensive guns

It is very common today for people to replace the magazine release on their pistols. Many of these extended magazine releases make it much easier to change the magazine in your firearm. Competitive shooters can win or lose a match based upon how fast they can reload their guns.

One of the worst things that can happen to anyone is to have their defensive firearm malfunction when they need it the most. Reliability is the greatest consideration of any self-defense gun. If you have an extended magazine release and accidentally hit it you have made life, what little of it you may have left, very difficult.
