Knowing all we know, we still must presume innocence until proven in a court of law that Ghislaine Maxwell is Jeffery Epstein's enabler, a partner in crime, and participant in his abuse of children. The Epstein case does raise questions about how much a criminal can get in the way of leniency from the courts, how a criminal can kill themselves to protect their family from lawsuits, and how the rich can use the threat of a lawsuit to silence the media or worse, the self-censorship in the media to protect people with the same political views.
