I never knew my father. My mother told me when I was 14 that he was in a skiffle band in the 60's called The Improvisors. He played tea chest bass and sang. They toured with The Grumbleweeds and nearly won Opportunity Knocks. They got offered their own TV show audition, but my dad didn't show up for it. He was in the pub getting pissed, so they failed the audition and broke up.
