New series! The series after this will be "Apostasy and Unbelievers in the Abrahamic tradition", following a twitter poll. this one's about the relationship between women and property--both women owning property and being treated as property. I'm trying to put these stories and passages in roughly chronological order, which is not the order they're presented in the Biblical canon, to provide a more clear picture of the changes that occurred over time.
