Digital Foundry put the latest entry into the Borderlands series through its paces and played through the game in different modes on both the PlayStation 4 Pro and the Xbox One X. Digital Foundry reports that Borderland 3's Performance Mode struggles and "has some genuine issues." Travelling across the environment seems to be the only time that Borderlands 3 stays locked at its targeted 60 fps. During combat, the fps drops down to the 50s. Frame rates get even worse when fighting in a vehicle with drops of down into the 40s.
