At thirty-six, my heart felt frail and weak,
A battle scarred, yet hope began to rise,
A walking stick became my steadfast beak,
A crutch to help me reach the sunlit skies.
In cardiac rehab’s nurturing care,
With steady steps, I tread a path anew,
Each session, strength and healing in the air,
A second chance, a life once lost, now true.
With nourishment, I’ve changed my daily fare,
Healthy choices bloom like a vibrant bud,
No more indulging in a heart’s despair,
I eat to thrive, to savor life, not just survive.
My woman’s love, a beacon through the night,
My four-year-old daughter’s laughter, pure and bright.
Together, we’ve emerged from shadows deep,
A family’s love, a treasure, truly keep.
