Symphony No. 3 in C major, Op. 52 by Jean Sibelius

Sibelius completed this symphony in 1907, with the premiere performance being given in September of 1907 in Helsinki. Sibelius dedicated the work to British composer Granville Bantock, a close friend and supporter of promoting Sibelius’ music. Bantock would also receiving a dedication from composer Elgar with his second ‘Pomp and circumstance’ march.

This symphony is comprised of three movements:
I. Allegro moderato
II. Andantino con moto, quasi allegretto
III. Moderato – Allegro ma non troppo
