"QUEST FOR THE BLUE LANTERNS" part three! Guy Gardner sets out on a one-man mission to take out the one Sinestro Corps ring slinger everyone's afraid of: Arkillo! Can this Green Lantern with a grudge take down this monstrous alien and prove he's still the toughest guy in the cosmos to carry a power battery? As Guy's hope for a fair fight wanes, Hal Jordan and Kyle Rayner streak across the galaxy in a last-ditch effort to find Saint Walker of the Blue Lanterns and ensure that the blue light of hope isn't extinguished.

Rafael Sandoval illustrates issue 16. His work doesn’t feature the gnarly details and facials of Ethan Van Sciver but he excels greatly at creating dynamic action. Cut from the same cloth, they were an unstoppable team. When relations between the Lanterns and Sinestro Corps fell apart it was time for the two to square off and finally prove who the toughest of the tough is.
But nothing prepared readers for what happens next. What on the surface is one giant fight scene is actually a very meaningful character driven story. While the two battle tooth and nail Robert Venditti flashes back to Gardner’s youth. Readers learn the Lanterns resident alpha-male grew..
