USCGC Eagle arrives in Den Helder, the Netherlands

USCGC Eagle (WIX 327) navigates toward the pier with aid from local tugboats, May 6, 2023, in Den Holder, the Netherlands. Eagle conducted a four-month summer deployment, sailing across the Atlantic Ocean, to teach practical seamanship skills to officer candidates from the U.S. Coast Guard and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Corps, foreign military personnel, and shared best practices with sailing organization Tall Ships America, while cadets and crew facilitated diplomatic engagements with U.S. allies in Northern Europe, the Portuguese archipelagoes of the Azores and Madeira, and Bermuda.
