Kvindelejren (Lit.:Women’s Camp) is a continued feminist institution since 1971 where the Redstocking movement’s libbers and lesbians founded this tent camp on the danish island of Femø (Lit.: Fem island). The camp is women only and it only exists for 8 weeks each summer.
Today the camp is mostly a lesbian feminist summer hang-out where lesbians can experience being a majority in a man-less village.
In 2020 the camp was officially closed do to the virus from China yet there was a tent there.
